My Style-Chic Therapy

Style Philosophy: I am obsessed with color and this is really what inspires my style. I plan my outfits around whatever color I feel like rocking at the moment.

Why I Love My Style: I am really into vibrant colors and I love that these colors put me in high spirits when I am rocking them

Make-up &Hair routine:
• Make –up: My everyday/lazy day make up routine consists of foundation (Marykay, Iman, Mac or Revlon), pressed powder (Iman or Mac),mascara(Mac or Almay), eyeliner & lipstick (Revlon, Mac or wet &wild) . On weekends, I may go all out and use really bright and colorful make up.

Hair: I have been natural for 3 years and I’ll either rock my natural hair or an instant weave/wig. With my natural hair, I deep condition once a week with avocado, shea butter and coconut milk (all blended together by me) and then I do bantu knots, twists out or braid out. The days I do not feel like fussing with my hair, I clip in an instant weave/wig and I am all set.

Wardrobe Staples: Blazers, flats and skinny jeans, leggings.

My Style_ DARK CHOCOLATE CREATIONS

My everyday style is like a blank canvas and I get to paint it with my personal style. I incorporate my fashion DIY creations in my outfits. I wear my creative creations its absolutely fulfilling and fun, and most people like the stuff I make.

~I'm currently into cat-eye makeup and the liquid eyeliner is so cool, bold lipstick in pink and red. I'm constantly changing my hair and lately im having fun with my bob-cut and I make its slick with a hair straightener. Its like a modern pin-up look its sexy and feminine.

~My wardrobe staples is a combination of trendy pieces and vintage finds, which include a fabulous pair of jeans, shoulder padded jacket, cross body-shoulder bag, vintage dresses and a pair of hot high heels.

Style Philosophy- I don't have a conscious style philosophy really, I see it, I love it, I wear it. My style keeps developing but certain aesthetic has stayed with me. My look is very vintage, comfy, quirky and definitely eccentric. And my other philosophy is that one's style should remain timeless. In 20 years I still want to be able to rock my current style and I will!

I love my style because its very random, I wake up and think what am I feeling today? Do I want to be girly and happy, or dark with some edge. And I also love it because my style ranges from expensive to the cheap, I love my thrift shopping but that doesn't keep me away from the high ends.

Make up and Hair- The only makeup I wear during the day is my blue mascara and either a red, pink or nude/bronze lip stick. But if i'm going to a party, I wear a Mac foundation. As for my hair, in the Spring and Summer I rock my natural hair and let it breath. But when it is cold, it is in a protective style-right now i have yarn braids- and I just put it in a pony tail or braid it into 2 bubu braids and pin it up. I jazz it up sometimes with some ankara head-tie

Style Philosophy:
I am ALL about the vintage clothes and accessories. I usually go to thrift stores because that is where you find vintage most available and usually, i mix vintage with something modern to create an edge. On a normal day, my hair is tied up with a scarf in an updo and i wear big studded earrings. Regardless of how i feel, i can never leave my room a mess.

Why I love my style:

I love my style because it defines me and it keeps evolving and that is the kind of person i am, spontaneous! i could be all about the skinny jeans last year and this year its vintage. My style keeps evolving and it only helps me become more creative and pick my brain.
 Make-up and hair routine:
I usually don't wear any makeup except when i go out at night and usually i wash my face, apply some maybelline dream matte mousse, and i apply some mac studio fix powder on top of it to achieve that flawless look. eye shadow color depends on my mood.
Wardrobe Staples:
shoulder padded vintage jackets in bold colors, short dresses
leggings
sandals
big studded earrings
scarfs (for hair)
over the knee boots (in the cold)
oxfords

  • Style Philosophy:
I usually try to incorporate current fashion trends into my daily routine. I can easily put on a jean jacket and a bandage skirt. My style also depicts how I feel for that day. Some days I can wear leggings and a long tank, then pair it with sneakers (no laces) and lots of bracelets.

Why I love my style:
-I love my style because it's me. You can see someone with the same shirt or skirt on as you, but when you find little ways to add your flair, it makes all the difference. I recently got into bright colors, crop tops, and bandage skirts. All can be dressed up or down.

Make-up and Hair routine:
-I usually do my make-up before my hair. I start with filling in my eyebrows and using concealer to blend everything in. Then I do my eyeshadow...the colors always vary, depending on the look I'm going for. The i put concealer on my dark spots and use my MAC foundation. I then use eyeliner(sometimes) and mascara or lashes. A little finishing powder and some blush (sometimes). Add lipstick or colored gloss for a pop of color. My hair is either up or down, or braided in some way...depending on the outfit choice.

Wardrobe Staples:
Scarves
Skinny Jeans
Off-shoulder tops
Bracelets
Rings
Combat boots (in the cold)
(Always) a belt for my pants!
Crop tops
Bandage skirts
Studs (preferably pearls)
